Not happy with the shape, appearance or the symmetry of your buttocks? Do you want to have an attractive and pleasing personality and appearance by getting fuller and perkier hips? Then the Brazilian buttock lift procedure should be your first choice!

What is a Brazilian Buttock Lift Procedure?

A Brazilian buttock lift is a cosmetic surgical procedure that involves the removal of excess fat from other areas of the body through liposuction, and then re-injecting it into the hips so as to provide you with youthful, perky and attractive hips.

Preparing for the Brazilian Buttock Lift Procedure

Before undergoing the Brazilian buttock lift procedure, you must take care of the following:

  • Stop taking aspirin or any other anti-coagulants that may interfere with clotting after the operation.
  • Stop Smoking at least two weeks before and after the surgery.
  • Limit alcohol consumption.
  • Make sure to drink plenty of water and fluids.

How is the Brazilian Buttock Lift Procedure Performed?

The procedure involves multiple steps:

  • Pre-operative Evaluation – the first thing your cosmetic surgeon will do is to perform a detailed clinical examination, in addition to having a look at your medical records and having a discussion regarding your expectations. Subsequently, your doctor will then formulate a comprehensive treatment plan which is customized according to your cosmetic needs and expectations.
  • Administering the Anesthesia – depending upon the complexity as well as the expected duration of the procedure, the doctor can choose from sedation or general anesthesia. An anesthesia is administered to the patients so that they remain comfortable and free of pain during the procedure.
  • Making an Incision – your cosmetic surgeon will make small incision around the hips, so as to gain access to the underlying fat of the hips. Presence of small incisions will ensure that there is minimal scar formation around the surgical site.
  • Liposuction – excess fat from other areas of the body, such as the abdomen, the face, neck and thighs is sucked out, purified and disinfected. Small fat droplets of the fat are then collected, so that they can be injected into the hips.
  • Injection of the Fat – the collected fat is then carefully injected into the hips. Multiple injections of fat cells are required to produce the desired results. Next, shaping and recontouring of the hips is done to provide them with the required shape and symmetry.

Aftercare

It is not uncommon to feel slight discomfort and pain following the operation. However, there is no need to worry, it will gradually subside. Following your operation, you must take care of the following in order to achieve the best results:

  • Don’t Sit Directly on Your Hips – avoid sitting directly on your hips for at least two weeks after the surgery. This will give time to the operation site for healing.
  • Wear a Padded Garment – make sure to wear a padded garment around the hips, so as to prevent generation of excessive pressure on the surgical site.
  • Avoid Exertion – avoid any strenuous activity for about one month after the surgery.
  • Bed Rest – Bed rest should be done for at least two weeks to allow for complete healing of the surgical site. After the passage of 3-4 weeks, you can return to your work.
